Jianhang has always been drawn to the power of language, not simply as a means of communication, but as a bridge between worlds. The ability to communicate across linguistic boundaries struck him early as both a gift and a responsibility, one that inspires him to remain a lifelong learner. For Jianhang, serving as a bridge between people who otherwise couldn't understand each other provides a sense of fulfillment that transcends everything else.

His path toward interpreting began in childhood, watching news coverage of high-level meetings between US and Chinese officials. Though he spoke very little English at the time, he was captivated by the skill and ease of the interpreters facilitating those critical dialogues. Those early experiences planted the seeds for his career. English quickly became his favorite subject, and that childhood curiosity evolved into a professional calling.

Today, what continues to inspire him is the opportunity to facilitate understanding in moments that matter, where language becomes the conduit for cooperation, negotiation, and meaningful exchange. His most memorable assignment remains his first SCC assignment to Myanmar. It was a surreal experience to find himself in such a foreign environment, utilizing his skills in an unexpected corner of the world. The assignment was a success, and it left him with a deep sense of gratitude for the unique opportunities this profession provides.
